270 Strategies Adds Powerhouse Digital Team, SF Office
270 Strategies, the consulting firm launched earlier this year by former Obama staffers Mitch Stewart and Jeremy Bird, is expanding its ranks to include a powerhouse team of digital strategists. Based in Chicago and led by partner Betsy Hoover, who served as Director of Digital Organizing on the 2012 Obama campaign, the 270 Strategies digital team includes fellow Obama alums Martha Patzer and Bridget Halligan. Together, these three women helped lead the national OFA digital operations this past cycle – including fundraising, online organizing, and constituency engagement. Patzer joins the team as a Vice President heading up the firm’s online fundraising strategies while Halligan serves as a Project Manager specializing in the management of online engagement tools. Former Obama Regional Digital Director Andy Oare will coordinate with the team from Washington.
270 Strategies has also brought on a former Obama Ohio GOTV director, Alex Lofton, as a Vice President leading the firm’s San Francisco-based operations. Lofton’s experience includes both grassroots organizing and startup business development in the technology and social sectors. Rounding out the new team members is Jesse Boateng, who served as Florida Voter Registration Director during the 2012 campaign and joins 270 as a Project Manager.
The latest recruits join 270 Strategies’ growing cadre of Obama world strategists – including partners Marlon Marshall, Mark Beatty, Lauren Kidwell, Meg Ansara, and Lynda Tran – dedicated to helping clients “build people-centered, data-driven, and digitally-sophisticated grassroots campaigns that achieve their strategic goals and change the world.”
