270 Strategies’ Mark Beatty: Scaling a Movement
This interview series centers on lessons and stories with creative leaders that others can gain from in pursuing their own ventures. So in the vein of finding lessons from new places, I connected with Mark Beatty, a partner at 270 Strategies who previously managed a $150M budget as the Deputy Battleground States Director for the Obama 2012 campaign. After graduating from college in 2006, Mark worked at BCG in Chicago until he caught the political bug in the earliest days of Sen. Obama's first presidential run and left to eventually take on a whole series of increasingly important roles in Obama for America (OFA).
