Catherine Tarsney is an Associate with 270 Strategies. She joins the team after serving as a Seasonal Associate in the Chicago Office. Catherine’s organizing experience includes work on President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's 2011 campaign.
Passionate about education, Catherine has coached the debate team at The Hockaday School in Texas and has worked as an instructor and director at debate institutes around the country, including co-founding and directing the Counterpoint Debate Institute in Chicago. Catherine received a B.A. in public policy from the University of Chicago, where she studied the role of education in promoting civic engagement.
A native Minnesotan, Catherine is unwavering in her belief that the Minnesota State Fair is the best in the country. Despite generally lacking athletic abilities, she has recently joined the 270 Strategies softball team, where she has developed a keen ability to get on base.
