Kristin Purdy is a Project Manager on the 270 Strategies Grassroots team. Most recently, she was the National Campaigns Manager at the Alliance for Biking & Walking, a national advocacy organization for transportation alternatives. Kristin worked for Obama for America in both 2008 and 2012, as a Field Organizer in Michigan and a Regional Field Organizer in Ohio respectively.
Kristin has a background in transportation and smart growth advocacy and a passion for creating equitable, livable communities. Her work at Transportation for America included building coalitions across the country to support a progressive federal transportation bill. At the Coalition for Smarter Growth, Kristin promoted local smart growth policies in the Washington DC region.
Kristin earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communications from the University of Michigan. She was born and raised in MIchigan, which she believes is the best state in the union. She currently resides in Washington, DC, and commutes to work everyday on her bike.
