Michelle Kleppe is a Principal with 270 Strategies. Michelle comes to 270 Strategies after serving as State Field Director for the Virginia Coordinated Campaign, where she led the team that delivered 51 percent of the vote for Governor Terry McAuliffe in 2013 and ultimately resulted in a statewide sweep for Democrats, electing a Democratic Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General for the first time in nearly 40 years. During the 2012 campaign, Michelle was State Field Director in the key battleground state of Wisconsin, where she ran the ground game operation that drove up voter turnout to secure a victory for the President. From 2009 to 2012, Michelle worked for Organizing for America-Wisconsin in several capacities, including GOTV Director for the historic Senate and Gubernatorial recall elections in 2011 and 2012. A Wisconsin native and graduate of Carroll College, Michelle got her start as a Field Organizer for President Obama's 2008 campaign.
Michelle grew up in a family of martial artists and studied martial arts until she was a teenager. Her parents own a martial arts and Buddhist study center in Wisconsin.
