Viraj Doshi is a Project Manager at 270 Strategies. He joins the team after most recently serving as a campaign manager in New Delhi, India, where he worked to organize and mobilize women into local voting blocs for the 2013 state elections. Viraj got his start as a Field Organizer on President Obama’s re-election campaign in Davenport, Iowa, where he developed an understanding of the grassroots principles he has applied to his subsequent work.
Prior to his time in India, Viraj spent a year in Bogotá, Colombia on a Fulbright Research grant. His research explored how an education methodology applied in Colombian schools could have a long-term positive impact on political and civic participation among its alumni.
Viraj earned a B.A. in Spanish and Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis. After living in the Midwest and internationally, he now calls Washington D.C. home. Originally from Raleigh, NC, he enjoys eating his mom’s home-cooked food, watching college basketball, and The Wire.
