Wadi Muhammad is an Associate at 270 Strategies. He has experience assisting and managing effective communication and engagement strategies for political, federal and non-profit organizations. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Field Director for a mayoral campaign in Boston, where he led the voter and political outreach in communities of color.
Wadi previously worked in public relations and stakeholder engagement at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He was the principal advisor for the agency’s African-American and Youth engagement and led the New England ENERGY STAR Houses of Worship efforts at EPA, where he managed the outreach efforts for over 11,000 congregations and increased program participation by more than 90%.
Wadi earned his degree in Business Management with a Minor in Marketing from UMass Boston. In college, he founded a student-led civic engagement initiative in order to raise awareness around public health and economic disparities in the communities surrounding his campus.
Born and raised in Boston, Wadi is an avid fan of anything Boston, even the accents. New to Chicago, he enjoys arguing with folks about how much better Boston is in everything compared to Chicago.
